Foy's Lake got its name from Mr Foy, a railway engineer who created a man made lake that would serve water to the residents of the Railway colony. He did this in 1924 by constructing a dam across the stream that came from the northern hills.
These days the lake and surrounding area is turned into a resort that includes a amusement park operated by The Concord Group, who are one of the largest real estate, engineering, and construction companies.
The park has a whole host of the run of the mill rides that include, Paratrooper, a Big Wheel, Bumper Cars, chair swings, Carousel, Tea Cup Ride and many more...."Family Roller Coaster" a stand Big Apple Coaster is placed on the right hand side of the lake, halfway between the park entrance and the huge boating lake a the rear of the park.
The coaster provided a smooth ride just as one would expect from a ride of this style. The only noticeable distraction were the huge billboards put up next to the ride.
